Earle Swensons @ Vivocity

It was my first time having a meal at Earle Swensons.  My usual hangout with my family is usually at Swensons Changi Airport Terminal 2 as we have a big extended family coming and leaving the country from time to time.

The salad bar's spread of dishes is quite varied - ranges from the usual carrot & lettuce to Waldorf salad (lots of apples), marinated tau-kwah, wanton skin, potato chips with cheese or bbq sauce, chendol jelly, etc.  Pretty interesting.

The salad buffet (free flow) costs SGD13.90 per adult.  But if you order a main course (min SGD17.90 onwards to SGD30.00), the salad buffet is free.

This plate consists of Chendol Jelly, watermelon, waldorf salad (hidden below) and chips with wanton skin, topped with Cheese sauce.  Yummy. :)

The restaurant is located at #02-117 Vivocity, 1 Harbourfront Walk, Singapore.  Tel: +65 62723306.  You get a nice view of the Sentosa Boardwalk.  The restaurant faces Sentosa Island.  It is open for business from 10.30am to 10.30pm.

Puay Heng Capitol Noodles

My colleague and I decided to have dinner at Puay Heng Capitol Noodles after our gym workout on Friday evening.  It has been many months since I last visited the shop for a bowl of noodles.

The place is always crowded during lunch hour.  You can queue for 45 minutes  before you are served.  Yes, it's self-service.  Having dinner there in the evening is simply, a better choice - less crowded and you don't have to wait for your food.

A set dinner for SGD6.50, I get a bowl of dried minced pork noodles (bak chor mee), a plate of fried wanton, a watermelon and a glass of iced lemon tea (or glass jelly).  It's value for money.  A bowl of noodles without the extras will set you back $4.00 to $5.50 depending on your order.
