We do need to learn to tolerate difference and diversity in people, values, opinions ... but we cannot do that if we don't have an inherent and deep love of people including the grace to accept them as a whole, just as they are, with all of their burdens as luggage beside them.

There is no tolerance or acceptance without first love.
