Gurney Drive

We were treated to a late dinner by a gym-mate after our Spin class on Wednesday 18Jul12.  The restaurant is located on Level 3 of Century Square and it serves authentic Penang hawker food. 

The restaurant's last order is at 9.30pm, so we only had 20 minutes to order our food.  Decisions were made rather quickly and the Penang Char Kway Teow is simply high on our order list ! :)

Drinks - Yellow Jackfruit, Pink Bandung with Grass Jelly, Green Ampla (buah-long-long fruit).

Chicken Wuxiang.

Penang Laksa.  Nice nice nice !!

Penang Char Kway Teow -- definitely a thumbs up !! Superb !

Fried Chicken Wings

Lemony prawn ?  Very sweet.

Durian Ice Kachang!  Big big scoop of durian on top.

Overall, it's worth going again !! :)

Lunch at Old Hong Kong Cafe

Last Thursday, we treated my colleague to a farewell lunch at Old Hong Kong Cafe at Raffles City Shopping Centre.  Here are the dishes that we ordered:

Appetiser

Rose Tea - rather fragrant.

Xiao long Bao.

Har-kow (prawn dumpling)

Chee Cheong Fun with Char-Siew.

Spinach.

Fried Carrot cake - pretty good & yummy!! :)

Boiled Beancurd Skin with wolfberries.

Glutinous Rice wrapped in lotus leaf.  It's really soft and delicious. One of my favourites.

Finally .. it's dessert time.  Check out the smoky effect from the dry ice !

Dessert - mango sago with ice cream.

It was a delicious and enjoyable lunch session.

The restaurant is located on Level 2 of Raffles City Shopping Centre.

BBQ chicken

Tried it for the second time, and noted that the menu has changed. They have since rolled out more dishes.
